The YMCA of Saginaw and Aleda Lutz VA Medical facility have partnered together to offer a Veterans Health and Wellness Expo. The expo will be held on the YMCA’s campus located at 1915 Fordney Street, Saginaw MI 48601 on Wednesday February 15th from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. The free event is open to everyone with a focus on those who have served and their family members. Those in attendance will experience screenings, vendors, classes and resources from organizations and groups focused on supporting the Military community.
The MOVE! Program from the VA medical facility will facilitate an indoor 2K walk and reunion. YMCA Director of Operations Doug Temple says, “The Y is passionate about supporting our military and this Health Expo is only one way we accomplish this. For those who can’t attend the event I would recommend stopping in and visiting with the Saginaw County Veteran Service Officer or Veterans Trust Fund Agent who both have offices inside the YMCA. Additionally, the Veterans Health Initiative provides monthly educational events, complimentary facility access for Veterans and their families, and emergency relieve support through the county Veterans Service Officer. The Y stands ready to assist those who serve”.
