Bob Chapman passed away over the weekend, from Saginaw High School Class of ’73 and the Saginaw County Sports Hall of Fame. Arrangements are not yet known.

Bob advanced to Michigan State University, where he was a senior on the basketball team when Magic Johnson entered as a freshman. In 1977, Bob was drafted in the 5th round by the Kansas City Kings but would end up returning to MSU for his senior year where he served as team captain.

Later in life, he crossed from East Lansing into Lansing, where he made his career not as an elected official, but as a researcher and a specialist in the Legislature.
