Saginaw High’s state basketball tournament run came to a close against another team of destiny.

Ferndale’s 65-60 victory marked their third straight trip to the semifinals, and they finally broke the barrier against an opponent playing in probably its final season.

Saginaw High and Arthur Hill won’t merge into the new Saginaw United until 2024-25, but basketball could become the final sport that is combined ahead of time.

Congratulations to Coach Julian Taylor and the team for making the Final Four, after achieving district and regional championships.
