The Splash Park located in the Frank N. Andersen Celebration Park, 1830 Fordney Street, is ready to kick off the 2023 season. The Splash Park will open on Saturday, May 27, 2023, just in time for summer and will be open daily from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Visitors can enjoy a fun, FREE recreational experience in a safe and accessible environment. The 2023 summer season will feature favorite amenities, such as exciting boulder climbing structures of various sizes within the existing playscape area. Celebration Park also includes sidewalks and paths for those who love to walk, with many added benches in scenic locations along the way. A pavilion area is available for picnics or those special summer celebrations. The public restrooms and changing areas are closed to the public due to limited staffing. Portable toilets will be available for the public to use.

Phil Karwat

“We understand that many families look forward to this free outdoor activity every summer. We are excited to reopen once again in 2023 and provide this fun recreational experience for our citizens. We did not want to delay the opening, so we had to make a few adjustments to our operations. We hope all our residents and guests will enjoy a safe, entertaining experience this summer while at Saginaw’s Splash Park,” says Phil Karwat, Director of Public Services.

To reserve the picnic pavilion for private parties, contact Heather Howe, Public Services Specialist, at 989-759-1662. For more information on Parks and Recreational activities in the City of Saginaw, visit the city’s website at www.saginaw-mi.com or call (989) 759-2191.
