An announcement on Saginaw High School’s Facebook page states:
“In light of recent social media postings and concerns shared that have not painted an accurate picture of the current operations at Saginaw High School, there will be a parent/community member meeting Monday, Oct. 16 at 6 p.m. in the Saginaw High School media center. The purpose of the meeting is to address concerns that have been brought up via social media and/or at a recent board meeting and to allow any parents or community members to ask any questions. The Superintendent and members of his team will be present along with the Saginaw High School administration.”
Grievances have included conduct of the recent last-in-SHS-history Homecoming, both for current students and for alumni, although as Superintendent Ramont Roberts notes, some of the same critics also have offered praise for the tailgate party at the same time.
More specifically, complaints have focused on Saginaw High’s physical condition, in particular rest rooms closed with malfunctions.
