UPDATE – Due to the milder weather conditions, the City of Saginaw has opted to extend the collection of seasonal yard waste one additional week through the week of December 4, 2023.

The week of December 4 marks the end of the City of Saginaw’s seasonal curbside yard waste collection for 2023. Residents planning a final leaf raking project or yard spruce-up should put their materials to the curb no later than 7 a.m. by their last regularly scheduled service date as listed below:

Collection DayYard Waste Collection (Updated)
MondayMonday, December 4
TuesdayTuesday, December 5
WednesdayWednesday, December 6
ThursdayThursday, December 7
FridayFriday, December 8

Mid Michigan Waste Authority reminds residents that all yard waste materials must be placed in paper yard waste bags or in 35 gallon or smaller garbage cans that have a “Yard Waste” sticker affixed to the front of the can.

For more information on yard waste guidelines, contact MMWA at (989) 781-9555 or visit the MMWA website at www.recyclemotion.org or the City of Saginaw’s website www.saginaw-mi.com.
