President Biden’s State of the Union address is not scheduled until March 7. Gov. Whitmer’s State of the State was last week. Sandwiched in between are local status reports.

At Thursday’s annual State of the City/County reviews, Mayor Brenda Moore and Board Chairman Christopher Boyd both highlighted the two main economic development projects, which are Memorial Cup hockey this spring and the Medical Diamond project through the remainder of the decade. They also introduced daily operations through City Hall and the Courthouse.

A closing tribute is presented to Veronica Horn, retiring Saginaw Chamber of Commerce president and CEO.
