For 2024, a Mexican American Council top goal is to connect young adults and teens with job training and employment, in connection with the regional office of the Michigan Small Business Development Corp.

A planning meeting is set for 6:30 p.m. Thursday at SVSU Riverfront, 200 South Washington, across from SVRC Marketplace. The concept is in a startup process and all ideas are welcome, including possible connections with Memorial Cup hockey late in May.

The MAC Center, 1537 South Washington, also will host a $15 takeout enchilada lunch and dinner fund-raiser on Friday, Feb. 23. For info, call (989) 560-4124.
