Two City Council meetings are scheduled Monday.
The regular business session is at noon, instead of at 6:30 p.m., to accommodate the annual Student Government Day.
Before that, local high school pupils will begin their daylong field trip by holding a “mock” council meet of their own shortly after the 8 a.m. arrival at City Hall, using the same agenda and considering the same items.
A highlight of special interest to the selected high school seniors will be an update on Saginaw Promise, which has surpassed the $1 million mark in college scholarships.
The day will continue with visits to the downtown central fire station, to police headquarters and to the water treatment plant. American Legion Post 22 is the sponsor.
